Can you translate ‘If you can dream it, you must do it’?

Can you translate the slogan ‘If you can dream it, you must do it’ into one of Luton’s 140 languages and dialects?

As part of ‘As You Change, So Do I’, Luton born artist and Turner Prize nominee, Mark Titchner is inviting Luton’s residents to translate the slogan from his artwork ‘Beacon’ located on the gable end wall of The Hat Factory Arts Centre.

We are looking for handwritten translations to create a series of new poster based artworks that will be displayed across the town and we also want to hear about you and the story behind your language.

Pashto translation of 'If you can dream it, you must do it' on a piece of paper.
At the age of twelve, the author of this translation travelled across land from Afghanistan. He is now living in foster care in Luton. Pashto is the language of his homeland.
